The 17th World Convention will take place July 30 through
Aug. 3, 2008 in Nashville, Tenn., at the Nashville Convention Center,
and a Disciples pastor will be among the main session 
speakers.
The convention, held every four years, draws people from many of the 180
countries where Stone-Campbell churches have been established. To learn

Cynthia Hale, pastor of Ray of Hope Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Decatur, Ga., will address the global gathering. Other featured speakers are Bob Russell, retired minister of Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, Ky.; Mike Cope, preaching minister at the Highland Church of Christ in Abilene, Texas, and C. Robert Wetzel of Johnson City, Tenn., president of the convention.
The convention will be a time of worship, fellowship, sharing and expressing unity in diversity among members of churches in the Stone-Campbell heritage.
